About the event

OVERVIEW

For Canadian REITs and REOCs, 2016 started off strong and ended even stronger by year end. The sector was up with many issuers having equity prices above net asset value despite some REITs and REOCs having significant exposure to Alberta. Direct real estate returns however is at a 22 year low. While investors are cautiously optimistic of Canada’s real estate market in 2017, there is some uncertainty on how investors should position their real estate portfolio.

In this seminar, a panel of senior real estate professionals from banking, property management, and portfolio management will discuss the current state of Canada‘s real estate landscape, portfolio management including asset allocation, and impact of rising interest rates to valuation and return.
